Absract. The text discusses one of the many applications of medical translation, namely its ability to translate knowledge. In this sense, it is directly related to the theme of the future and development of transhumanism. This particular article discusses some of the mainstays of transhumanism that affect medicine - the idea of genetic enhancement and the technologically determined evolution of individuals, futurological utopias and anti-utopias, and debates surrounding immortality.
