Absract. The current regulations impose the need of identification of the components of school readiness. Currently, these competences are defined in the frame of educational directions. This approach does not allow highlighting a
clear model of school readiness. In this respect the main goal of the current paper is to define the most functional model of school readiness. This is the basis for preparation for school and diagnostics. The chosen approach takes in consideration the requirements of the school and the difficulties that young students face. The model includes two main directions: physical and psychical readiness. Phsychical
readiness in turn has tree aspects: intellectual, socio-personal and emotional volitional readiness.
