The journal “Istoriya – History” aims to present in-depth research on the history of Central and Eastern Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean from Ancient times to the present day, to publish papers in the field of history teaching methodology and archival work. Articles and materials are structured in separate rubrics and cover a variety of historical topics and discussions.
Over the years of its more than half a century of publication, “Istoriya – History” has established itself as an authoritative academic journal. Its main focus is on the adequate reconstruction of historical past in the specific geographical regions of Central and Eastern Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean. The emphasis is on macro- and micro-history, on the dynamics and diversity of social processes, on the new introduction of new methodological approaches and the improvement of classical research methods, and on the novel interpretations.
