Absract. The problem of the formation of competencies in Bulgarian language and literature at the primary stage of education is interpreted in the article. The main focus is on the teacher’s methodical approach in the process of Bulgarian language and literature teaching in the context of the application of the competency based approach in Bulgarian language and literature learning-teaching.
