Absract. This text puts the primary emphasis on the relationship of postmodern time and artistic discourses in the context of the Higher School. It attempts to analyse the advantages and disadvantages of postmodernism in relation to artistic texts that can be used in pedagogues’ training. Postmodernism is a whole movement of ideas that changes perspectives on both learning and teaching, and it is up to us to use them successfully. Particular attention has been paid to reading as a cultural and pedagogical phenomenon, which significantly determines the direction in understanding and interpreting artistic texts for instructional purposes. The message
of this study is that the artistic pedagogical discourse and texts of postmodernism
have new characteristics and issues that are to be known and applied correctly by
teachers in their professional thinking.
