Absract. This study is motivated by the visible lag of the educational system in relation to the challenges of modernity, as well as by the non-fulfillment of the educational criteria for achieving the obligatory productional, technological, administrative, economical, political and socio-cultural subsystems (sectors of public life), as well as to all parties involved – community, personal development,
family, etc. Public-private partnership (PPP) provides an answer as a to the beginning of a process in which management capabilities are developed, based on greater flexibility, more initiative, competitiveness, freedom of cooperation between partners and stakeholders. This work links the main challenges faced by the school education with the opportunities of PPP in our country.
